MOVE 2019: Call for Ideas

We need your help to ensure that our MOVE 2019 national summit, taking place Nov. 7-9 in Dearborn, MI, will include the Arab American community’s top concerns, ideas, and speakers.

Can you contribute an idea here?

MOVE—which stands for Mobilize, Organize, Vocalize, and Empower—is the only national gathering that brings together Arab Americans of all ages and from across the professional and political spectrum to discuss the most pressing issues facing our community. The biennial gathering is produced by ACCESS, the nation’s largest Arab American organization, and our three national institutions – the Arab American National Museum, the National Network for Arab American Communities, and the Center for Arab American Philanthropy.

At MOVE 2019, we will provide space for artists, activists, scholars, philanthropists, and others from the Arab American community to connect, learn and exchange ideas. As always, we welcome allies from other communities who want to build with us and explore ways to further intersectional organizing.

This year’s program will address the theme, Your Voice, Our Future, with speakers and panelists from a range of industries discussing how we can turn up our voices and elevate our communities against the backdrop of a highly-charged political environment.

Some of the issues we anticipate addressing include racial and gender equity, immigration and refugee rights, philanthropy, arts and culture, advocacy, capacity building and much more.

We want to make sure our community’s top concerns, ideas, and speakers are incorporated into MOVE 2019.

Please take a couple minutes to add your idea here!
